Special Events – TRAPs

Tactical Recovery of Aircraft Personnel

Mil-Sim Night Operation, Saturday February 9th, 2019 open to participants 16+

Welcome to the 7th TRAPs mission!  This extremely unique and high level Mil Sim event was originally held in 2006.  This is a prepay and preregister event that has been a work-in-progress for the better part of the year, and now you can be a part of it!  This is a chance for teams to try their skills against an airsoft mission that has never been done before on an individual team scale. See below to item 4 for scheduling.  Please read the following in its entirety!

This event will push the limit of your ability to function in a Mil Sim enviroment.  There are no tag-ins, no respawns, and limited medics rules.  Some situations you will be placed in are “no-shoot” engagements.  You’ll be required to interact with locals and CIA operatives.  You’ll be required to use your mind as much as your trigger finger.  Make the wrong move, you jeopardize the entire mission. You must follow your team’s command structure.

This event will occur in extremely low light.  It will happen rain or shine.  CAN YOU HACK IT?

MOUT Night Operations

There will be in depth briefings and safety instruction to occur before the Op.

  1. I strongly ask that ‘glow-stick dead rag’ colors be switched to BLUE or YELLOW.

Tac lights, red dots, lazers, etc. are all red. If I’m reading a map, I’m using a red light.

Keeping ‘red’ lights out of game admin functions will prevent confusion.

    • For TRAPs it depends on your team/group. If you sign up with a group, you should run similar colors. If you sign up as an individual, we will link you up with others and suggest a pattern!

  3. Hey, question for T.R.A.P.S in Feb 2015. Reading through the uniform requirements for MARPAT. Which color pattern is required, Desert or Woodland?

  4. Hey so I was wondering, My and team have OD Green Pants, is it okay if we just get the Multicam tops or do we have to get a full set top and bottom? College and High school student player budgets ya know.

  5. Can we wear multicam pants and say like a grey or black top? As long as we have 1 half of the uniform being multicam is it okay?

  6. For radios, does everyone need a frequency based radio? Everyone in my squad has one except one guy and he has one of those motorola channel based ones. I know we are going to be given channels or frequences throughout the op. Should he get a Baeofeng like the rest of us or is he okay?

    • Hey Diego,

It is not necessarily required, but highly recommended that everyone in your squad can communicate with each other. Who is in your squad Diego? We did not get you set up in any team so in order for us to put you guys together please let us know. We also received $90 from you, did you pay for someone else?

  7. I tried to sign up for February Traps, but I don’t see the link once it’s in the fnal stage. I signed me up for the January 6th op which I won’t be able to make. I sent the $50 to rhp.sanjose@gmail.com for the February TRAPS. I don’t think I’m signed up though.

    • Due to the nature of this Op we must keep velocities at the standard 400 fps. Night time engagements have a high likelyhood of extremely close engagements and we dont want to run the risk of a close shot on a hot gun.

  8. Is it possible for more spots for Bravo Group to open up? I went to this OP last year and it was dope, would love to go this year with my friends as well.

  9. Hey I have like a ton of questions and I need to call or email someone but you list no number nor email for the people you asked us to contact. Please Email me.

  11. Uniform requirements. Also, if I were to register for the event, will I be assigned to a team. There’s no one else who does these kind of things except me

    • Hi Mason,

Yes you are required to follow the uniform requirements. As far as team assignments, once you are signed up for the event you should receive an invite to a Facebook group for the Sortie you are assigned to. You will need to work with the sortie to figure out which squad you will be on.
